Market Town of Sloup is the northern gateway to the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area. The dominant feature of Sloup is the Sloup–Šošůvka Caves, with the tourist-favorite Eliška’s Cave. Sloup is also an important pilgrimage site. On Wankl Square there is the baroque Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, popular with pilgrims. In summer, the local swimming pool offers refreshment.
