In Paklenica National Park there are two karst river canyons—Mala and Velika Paklenica. The Mala Paklenica canyon is dry, without a watercourse. The best starting point is Starigrad-Paklenica, from where you can drive to the parking lot in the Velika Paklenica canyon, from which hiking trails lead to all the park’s most important natural landmarks.
In the Velika Paklenica canyon there is Anića Kuk, the highest Croatian rock face at 712 m, and the karst cave Manita peć.
From the surrounding peaks there are magnificent views of the Velebit Mountains and the Velebit Channel.
