Kozákov (744 m a.s.l.) is the highest mountain of the Kozákov Ridge and the Bohemian Paradise. Since prehistoric times, the peak has been sought after as a site for finding gemstones. In cavities of the rock, spherical formations of agate, jasper, amethyst, rock crystal, smoky quartz, and other semi-precious stones crystallized. Since 1985, the southwestern part of Kozákov, covering an area of 162.83 hectares, has been protected as the Kozákov National Nature Monument. By car, you can drive up a paved road directly to the summit itself, where there is a parking lot and an observation tower. Kozákov is also a popular place for paragliding.
