On the edge of the Hrubý Jeseník Protected Landscape Area, in a region with the cleanest air in the Czech Republic, there is a family recreational complex/guesthouse “Schaumannův Dvůr.” The guesthouse is situated in a quiet setting by the forest in the village of Karlovice, about 5 km from the foothill town of Vrbno pod Pradědem.

This place is ideal for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the city and for families with children. In the fenced grounds there is a tennis court with an artificial surface and floodlighting at night (it can also be used as a multi-purpose court—volleyball, foot tennis, etc.), a children’s playground, a merry-go-round, swings, climbing frames, and a fire pit with seating. There is a private outdoor swimming pool with lighting; in the main building there is a common room, a shared kitchenette (some rooms have their own kitchenette—see accommodation), a sauna, a children’s corner, and a games room with table tennis, electronic darts, and table football.

In winter, downhill and cross-country skiing are available. A lockable ski and bike storage room is located directly in the main building. The guesthouse has its own parking lot right on the premises.
