Žalý is a mountain located on the last spur of the Žalý Ridge in the central part of the Krkonoše Mountains, about 1.5 km east of Benecko. The mountain lies within the Krkonoše National Park.
In 1836, a wooden lookout tower was built on the summit of Přední Žalý by Count Jan Nepomuk František Harrach. In 1889 it was replaced by a prefabricated iron viewing structure, which in 1892 was replaced by the present 18-meter-high stone tower.
From the lookout tower, it is possible to take in the entire panorama of the Krkonoše Mountains, parts of the Jizera Mountains and the Orlice Mountains, the foothills, and parts of the Bohemian Paradise.
