Pustevny (1,018 m) lies between Radhošť and Tanečnice. It is the most important and most visited mountain resort in the Beskydy Mountains.
Pustevny was named after the hermits who lived here, the last of whom died in 1874.
Pustevny is a starting point for a popular cross-country skiing area. Operators maintain a total of 74 km of cross-country trails of varying difficulty. Among the most sought-after cross-country routes with beautiful views are the easy ridge trail toward Radhošť or to Martiňák.
In an easterly direction from Pustevny, you can reach the summit of Čertův mlýn with unique rock formations such as the Devil’s Table. Along the ridge trail heading west, past the statue of the pagan god Radegast from 1931, you can comfortably reach the summit of Radhošť.
