Liptovská Mara is a water reservoir near Liptovský Mikuláš in northern Slovakia, on the Váh River below the Tatras. The main reason for building the dam was to protect villages from flooding on the Váh River, but it also serves to generate electric power. In the area of the former village of Ráztoky, which was abolished, there is the Tatralandia Aquapark, located in an area of thermal springs discovered in the 1990s. Today, recreational centers are located on the shores of the reservoir.
