Benecko is a municipality in the Krkonoše Mountains, located in the Jilemnice area in the northeastern part of the Semily District. Today, Benecko is oriented almost exclusively toward tourism and related activities. This is reflected in the infrastructure, consisting of a dense network of hotels, guesthouses, and private accommodation facilities, ski schools, and rental services for winter and summer sports equipment.
In winter, Benecko offers both downhill and cross-country ski trails. In summer, Benecko is a perfect starting point for hiking and cycling trips both to the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains and to the Podkrkonoší region.
