Tišnov is a town in the Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region. It lies in the Boskovice Furrow, 22 km northwest of Brno, near the confluence of the Svratka and Loučka rivers.

The most prominent monument in the vicinity of Tišnov is the Cistercian monastery Porta Coeli, which, however, is located in the nearby municipality of Předklášteří. The northwestern part of the town is dominated by Květnice Hill, 470 m above sea level, an important site for rare minerals. There are several smaller caves inside Květnice. On the summit of Klucanina Hill above the eastern part of Tišnov, a restored observation tower has stood since 2003.
