At present, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is renowned mainly for the Wallachian Open Air Museum, which consists of a collection of wooden folk buildings transferred from the Wallachian region to the setting of the town park (Wooden Little Town) and to the adjacent hillside (Wallachian Village and Mill Valley). The last two parts form a living museum. Thanks to its location, Rožnov is directly suited for recreation and sports. The town and its surroundings are equipped with a number of sports facilities for both winter and summer sports. Among the most visited places in the Beskydy Mountains are Pustevny and Mount Radhošť. Marked hiking trails lead to these places from the zero kilometre point in Rožnov.
