The town of Rovinj is a popular tourist destination, primarily thanks to its advantageous location on the Adriatic Sea coast, its favorable Mediterranean climate, and the historic core of the town, which has to this day preserved the historical character of medieval and Renaissance Venetian towns. The town’s landmarks are the Church of St. Euphemia and a clock tower dating back to the 12th century, which in the past also served as a prison. Among the main green oases around the town is, above all, the already mentioned extensive park southwest of Rovinj, called Zlatni Rt, along whose shores there are numerous beaches.
