Most is a statutory city in northwestern Bohemia in the Ústí nad Labem Region. It lies on the Bílina River. The city and its surroundings were irreversibly changed by coal mining. The most valuable building and a tourist attraction are the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Hněvín Castle on the hill above the city.
Despite its lost cultural heritage, the present-day city of Most still has much to offer. Reclamation has transformed it into a place full of greenery, wide streets, and generously designed sports facilities. Flooding of the mined-out pits has created extensive bodies of water suitable not only for sports activities but also for relaxation.
