The town of Kojetín is located in the Přerov District in the Olomouc Region. More than 6,000 inhabitants live here. The first written mention of Kojetín dates from 1233 and is found in a charter of the Moravian Margrave Přemysl. It speaks of the Kojetín district. The town has a significant recreational location. Nearby runs the Moravian Cycle Route No. 47 Jeseník – Břeclav and Cycle Path No. 5040 from Tovačov toward Měrovice - Plumlov. In the surrounding area it is also possible to engage in water tourism; the course of the Morava River lies on the boundary of Kojetín and is navigable toward both Tovačov and Kroměříž. Part of recreation for the town’s residents and its visitors is also the swimming pool complex, which consists of three pools. In its immediate vicinity lies the pond Na Hrázi, rich in its fauna and flora.
