Mikulovice in the Jeseníky Mountains is a quiet municipality on the Czech-Polish border, surrounded by the nature of the Jeseníky and the Zlaté Hory Highlands. Thanks to its location, it is a suitable place for easy walks, trips to the surrounding hills, and also as a starting point for exploring the northern part of the Jeseník region.
For more active visitors, Mikulovice is interesting mainly as a starting point for cycling routes, including the Moravian Trail, which begins here and continues through Jeseník and Ramzová. The surroundings also attract trips to Zlaté Hory, for example to the Mining Educational Trail or to the Gold Ore Mills, which recall the region’s mining history. Mikulovice thus combines a peaceful rural atmosphere with good facilities for hiking, cycling, and day trips.
