The municipality of Josefův Důl is a village in the valley of the Kamenice River in the Jizera Mountains.
The village is a starting point for hiking, cycling, and skiing trips. In Josefův Důl there is an access point to the Jizera Mountains Ski Trail. Several ski slopes for both experienced and beginner skiers can be found directly in the village and in the immediate surroundings. Popular tourist destinations include, for example, the waterfalls on the Jedlová River, the Breached Dam, the glassmaking memorial at Kristiánov, or one of the many lookout towers scattered across the peaks of the Jizera Mountains.
