Držková is located in the Hostýn Hills in the middle of the triangle formed by the towns of Zlín, Vsetín, and Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Each of these towns is about 20 km away. The first mention of Držková appears in 1391 in the Land Registers of the Olomouc region. At that time, Upper and Lower Držková still existed. After 1466, only one municipality is mentioned.
