Makarska is a Croatian port town and tourist resort located on the Adriatic coast in central Dalmatia. Makarska is the center of the Makarska Riviera, which stretches for 60 km from Brela to Gradac. Makarska has beautiful pebble beaches lined with tall pine trees. The harbor with its palm-lined promenade invites evening strolls. The main beach, Donja Luka, has been awarded the Blue Flag—a symbol of quality and cleanliness. On both sides of Donja Luka beach are picturesque coves that provide privacy for swimming and sunbathing.
