Máchovo Lake, colloquially “Mácháč,” is a large pond near the town of Doksy at Máchovo Lake.
Alongside a number of hotels, restaurants, guesthouses and other facilities intended for recreation and leisure in Doksy and Staré Splavy, especially on the northern and northeastern shore of the lake there are many campsites (Borný, Klůček, Bílý Kámen), beaches and cottage areas. Popular activities in the lake area include water sports, hiking, cycling and mushroom picking. In winter, the frozen surface of the lake is used for skating, ice hockey and cross-country skiing, and refreshment stalls are in operation.
