České Budějovice is a statutory city in the České Budějovice District and the administrative and cultural capital of the South Bohemian Region. It lies in the České Budějovice Basin at the confluence of the Vltava and Malše rivers.
The city is home to the South Bohemian Museum, the Horse-Drawn Railway Museum, the Water Tower, the Budvar Museum České Budějovice, cruises on the Vltava and Malše rivers, a view from the Black Tower, the Dominican Monastery, and the Museum of Energy.
