Červený Kostelec is a pleasant town in the foothills of the Jestřebí Mountains, which can serve well as a starting point for both hiking and cycling trips. From here, tourists can set out into the surrounding rolling countryside, to forests, viewpoints, and smaller villages with a calm rural atmosphere. Thanks to its location between Náchod, Trutnov, and Česká Skalice, the town is also suitable for combining shorter walks with exploring the wider region.
Popular destinations in the area include the Jestřebí Mountains, the Úpa Valley, Babička’s Valley, and the nearby Adršpach–Teplice Rocks. Červený Kostelec itself offers a pleasant base for visitors looking for a less busy place to relax and take trips into nature. Hiking here can also be combined with visits to cultural landmarks, local events, and trips along marked trails that lead through the beautiful landscape of northeastern Bohemia.
