Three ski slopes and a one-kilometer snowpark await winter sports enthusiasts at the Paprsek lodge not far from Staré Město. Visitors have access to a Doppelmayr double chairlift alongside a TLV lift, SUN-KID: children’s rope tows, a carousel, and a small sledding run. The Paprsek ski area is regularly groomed by a snowcat; mountain rescue service, refreshments, and a ski and snowboard rental are available on site. The Paprsek area is popular mainly with families. The slopes are also suitable for snowboarders and, according to a statement by national team coach Martin Černík, you will find here “a snow park with the parameters of top resorts in the Alps and the USA.” Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will also be satisfied—the operator of the Paprsek lodge regularly machine-grooms cross-country trails in the nearby and more distant surroundings of the lodge, with a total length of 75 km.
