Mariánské Lázně (German: Marienbad) is a spa town in the Karlovy Vary Region. Mariánské Lázně is the youngest of the famous triangle of West Bohemian spa towns. Since 2021, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The main landmarks of Mariánské Lázně are above all its spa parks, thanks to which the town ranks among the most beautiful garden towns in Europe.
In the wider surroundings of Mariánské Lázně, about 100 mineral springs rise, containing carbon dioxide and mineral salts, of which 53 springs are captured and used. These are mainly cold iron-rich acidic mineral waters, of differing chemical composition. For drinking cures, the following six main springs are used: Křížový, Rudolfův, Karolinin, Lesní, Ambrožův, and Ferdinandův. The Mariin spring, which gave the town its name, is only a gas vent—carbon dioxide. The springs and their healing effects were known long before the spa was founded to the inhabitants of the surrounding villages.
