Chrudim is a historic town in eastern Bohemia that impresses with its rich past and well-preserved center. Its focal point is Ressel Square, lined with a number of burgher houses and important landmarks such as the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Mydlář House. The town is also known as the “Athens of Eastern Bohemia” thanks to its cultural tradition.
